

Scott Jackson is a highly experienced mining industry leader with over 30 years in the sector. Scott recently completed 11 years with Anglo American, in which time he held four different Vice President (VP) level roles. Initially as VP for Mineral Resources and Reserves, Scott led Anglo American's resource estimation, reserve development and public reporting of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves. This included the public reporting of up to 60 assets in a given year, as well as the transformation of Anglo American's resource estimation through early adoption of scripted environments and machine learning to materially impact timelines and decision making. As Head of Advanced Projects, Scott led several resource development drilling projects including one on the Platreef in South Africa which peaked at 38 drill rigs and safe delivery of 180km of diamond drill core per annum. As Head of Mining Geoscience, Scott was responsible for leading a central team to drive excellence in mining geoscience ensuring value based decisions were made to define ore vs waste and help operations meet guidance. Aside from technical achievements, importantly, Scott was responsible for continued growth and mentoring of a strong team of geoscientists, helping them become great leaders in their chosen field.
